HONING MACHINE TYPE
STV 600/3000 S 50

Honing machines of the series STV 600 are suitable for honing large bores up to 600 mm dia. And lengths up to 5000 mm. They are manufactured in steps of 1000 mm up to a stroke length of 5000 mm.

The hone spindle drive consists of a multi-step gear with superposed DC-motor. The reciprocation stroke drive is hydraulic. All parameters can be adjusted from the control panel and can be changed steplessly during the current honing operation in order to optimize the cutting results. All values are indicated on the screen of CNC-control.

The drive of the honing machines of this series have a reputation for high stability, low vibration and great rigidity so that is very suitable for rough honing at highest stock removal rates and for finish honing to the tightest tolerances and finest surface finishes.

EXTERNAL HONING MACHINE
TYPE STV 300/700

This machine is equipped with an external honing tool suitable for external honing of spindles up to diameter 200 mm and a length of 600 mm.

The external honing tool has a working range from 20-200 mm dia. And is screwed to a bracket at the machine stand.

Hydraulic expansion with stepless pressure adjustment.

The workpieces are setup on the honing spindle. The machine is operated from a hanging control panel.

This machine is often used for external honing of piston rings in connection with special tools.
